"Where Patchwork Matters"

Our Fillies

Sandy Edge Un-named

DOB 6/11/09, Black (possible Smokey Black will get her colour tested) looks to be keeping her blue eyes.

*Meet Mira* named Mira who was born a Mirror Image of her Dam DJ & is short for Miracle as it was a Miracle she lived, she was born at 316 days & 1 of her front leg's was badly stuck under her belly, we really didn't think she was going to make it but thank godness for Dwayne who held her head for over 25 minute's (while vet was on his way) after much pushing she was coming out wether we liked it or not, Dwayne held on to her shoulder really tight while Mum was pushing & DJ managed to birth her without dislocating Mira's leg. Our vet is amazed at Dwayne & said he is a Miracle worker, she is locked up for a week or so as her legs are very weak but she is a strong little girl & doing better each day.....

She will also be shown with Britney as her & Flicka get along like a house on fire.

*UPDATE* Flicka wins High Point Miniature Horse/Pony at the 2009 NMR Feature Show, we are just over the moon with the way she behaved at this show, this filly is such a joy to own, we are very proud to own her, the judge just loved her & he said so many nice things about her, he said she is going to make a lovely harness pony.

Meet Sprite, wow where do we start with this young lady, first of all we have to send out a huge thanks to Marcy from Equus Park for allowing Sprite to come live with us & know she will be dearly loved. We have been a huge fan of Sprite's Dad Mysta, watching this boy grow up over the past few years & seeing his 1st born daughter grow up who we have always said she would come live with us one day & to our surprise that has come true. Sprite has attended a few shows with Britney & WOW what great results together.

*Update* Sprite has done us SUPER proud, but most of all done Britney very proud, Britney won her 1st Garland at the NMR Feature Show, where they took off Supreme Champion Foundation Pony, Britney shed a few tear's when she was awarded it, yes so did her Mother, we are so super proud of these 2, they have done very well this year in the show ring. Also Sprite taking out Top 5 at the 2009 Coloured Show. Sprite will be back out soon when she comes back from her holiday.

*DJ foaled a stunning Black possibly Smokey Black Filly, with a lovely dishy head*

Meet DJ, she is a Multi Supreme Winning Mare, Supreme Miniature Horse at the Perth Royal Show in 2004 with her last owner. This girl has an amazing show record with Eddy's Miniature's. We have wanted this amazing mare from the minute we laid eyes on her & we finally got the chance to own her, it's a dream come true for us owning this mare, she is a huge compliment to our stud. We would like to say a huge thank you to Eddy's Miniature's for allowing us to have DJ you have really made us proud & thanks to Lindan Park for breeding such a lovely mare.  I do need to pinch myself looking out our back & seeing this girl here. DJ has had 2 foals so we do plan on breeding her again in the future. DJ has attended a few show with us now with great results, this mare is just a dream to do anything with never puts a foot wrong & has done us so proud, she is so much like her niece Ali.

*Update* Since owning DJ we have broken her into harness & done 3 harness shows, her 1st outing was the NMR Feature Show, DJ took out Grand Champion Miniature Harness Horse, then an open harness show, where she held her own up against the big pro's, our last outing was the Small Fry Show for 10.2hh's & Under, DJ won Over all Champion Harness Pony 10.2hh's & Under, she made the judges stand still with her huge extended trot, she was on fire was one comment. I have had so many super comments about DJ in harness, the power trot on this girl is amazing, the judge just couldn't take his eye's of her, I couldn't be more proud of owing this stunning little mare. DJ has had her harness career cut short as we have just found out she is pregnant to her last owner's stallion, which we didn't know about, she is due to foal in November 09, after the foal is weaned I can't wait to get her back out in Harness where we can burn it up again.

Reg'd Buckskin, DOB Sept o4, Height 12.1hh.

Sire: Kirreway Zadu              Dam: Raven's Wood Jenny Wren

After a long hard decision Britney decided to sell Lilly, we have found her a lovely new home & wish her new little rider all the very best with Lilly & hope they get as much fun out of Lil as Britney did.

**stop the press** finally got in contact with Lilly's breeder, we have now found out Lilly's parenting & breed, she will be reg'd with her breed societies when I get all her breeding history, we are wrapped, so great putting parents names to this girl.

This is Lilly she is Britney's riding pony. **UPDATE**  Lilly has now attened her 1st Perth Royal Show where she did us & Britney so very proud, you are meant for each other, she was a dream all day, didn't put a foot wrong. Lilly & Britney will be trying western Pleasure this year.

Lilly has such a calm easy going nature, she loves kids which is great. Lilly is reg'd with The Dilutes Australia. We were going to send Lilly away when we 1st got her to be broken & educated but we are so pleased we didnt as they just work together a treat. Britney has done all the work to this pony & we are very proud of them both.

Reg'd Riding Pony & Dilute, DOB 20/8/07 Mature Height 12.3hh

Sire: Oakvale Serenade                Dam: Pen-y-Ghent Linnet

**Lacey has now been sold, this was so very hard to do as she is just the best little pony, but due to her being to small for Britney's next pony, we wish the new owner all the very best with Lace take care of her, Lace thank you for the time we all had together, you made us so proud & you taught Britney so much**

Meet Lacey, she is a stunning young girl, a rare buckskin roan. Lace done us so very proud in the time we had her, with attending 4 shows, at Britney & Lace's 1st show they took off Runner-Up Pony of the Show. Lace was to become Britney's next riding pony but was going to be to small for her. Lace is going to make a top riding pony, I have been told by so many people she is going to mature into a lovely mare.

SANDY EDGE GYPSY ROSE.

34" Miniature Pony Mare, True Black.

Grandaughter of Toyhorse Little Emperor (IMP UK)

Dam: Willan Grove Sapphire Rose 33"      Sire: Shiralee Kokoda 32.75"

                                Cleo045.jpg  Cleo048.jpg

*Cleo has been sold to a lovely family, this has been a really really hard sale as we just love Cleo so much, I hope you enjoy/love Cleo as much as we have, she gave us a dear little foal & we will always treasure that from her, thanks Cleo, love you girl*

Meet Cleo (she lost her baby to a tragic accident) she has good English bloodlines. **Cleo placed 3rd Miniature Pony Mare at the 2008 Perth Royal Show, out of a HUGE class & so top mares in the class, well dont Britney & Cleo**

Cleo is a lovely type of miniature pony, Cleo was a paddock pet all her life prior to us getting her, she has a lovely nature, her & Britney have bonded so well. Britney attended a few breed shows with Cleo & placing well, on their 1st show (only had Cleo a week) they took off Champion Mare/Filly, which was great, they have also done some trail events doing well too. Then Cleo was put in foal so Britney stopped doing alot with her, Cleo was dragged out to a breed show nearly 9mths preg & still placing well in her class, after that she wasn's shown, until the Royal. Cleo carries our stud prefix but was not bred by us, we have been in touch with her breeder who is a very lovely person, & is over the moon Cleo is being shown & owned by a child.

Edge of Faith.

10.1hh, Reg'd Pinto

(Faith has been sold to a lovely little boy)

"Meet Faith" 15yr old Bay Tobiano, 10.1hh. We got Faith back in 2000 from the RSPCA, she & many more ponies were a huge rescue case, she was the start of Sandy Edge Stud along with our 1st Black Tobiano Stallion Razor's Edge (RSPCA rescue too). We had to sell them due to buying our home in mid 2001, Faith went to a friend of our's where she foaled our 2nd bred foal, Toby AKA Pintardo on the Edge who is an award winning riding pony, he is a lovely Black Tobiano, winning the Highest Point Winner Pinto of 2007 at the Pinto State Show. We had a call one night by the lady that owned her to say they had to re-home her, so she tracked us down to let us how she was going (after many years) & to see if we were keen to have her back, which we were, so after nearly 7yrs Faith has returned to us, due to personal reasons we had to re-home Faith nothing to do with her. We did plan on breeding her to Blaze this season for a nice Pinto Pony but have to sell her, though she has been running with Blaze. She has been a lead line pony as far as we have been told, she has been to pony club & done small ridden shows.

BALMORAL ZABRINA (now sold).

Reg'd Welsh B, DOB 12/08/89, Height 13.11/2hh.

Sire: Drumclyer Magician                 Dam: Balmoral Yedda

** we have made the very hard decision to sell Zoey, due to Britney's instructor saying Zoey is just to big for Britney, & is limiting Britney to alot of riding things, so we made the hard choice to re-home Zoey, was the sadest day ever, as Zoey is just a dream in all ways, we wish Zoey & her new owner all the very best**

Zoey, this was Britney's riding pony who has taught Britney so much, a huge thank you to Jessica & her family for letting Britney have your special pony & sharing with us what you had together, Zoey is highly educated in hacking, dressage & has done many years of  ponyclub & lots of ODE'S & she has got movement to die for, this girl can really move. Zoey has been with some really good riders & we hope she teach's Britney to become the best rider she is capable of, they seem to be doing well together so far. These 2 are really working well together, Zoey is a gem of a pony, really teaching Britney what's right & what's wrong, we couldn't of wished for a better safer pony. Britney really loves this pony dearly, as we all do.

SANDY EDGE KISS CHAY C. (NOW SOLD)

Reg'd Pinto, DOB 8/10/05, Standing at 14hh.

Sire: Cherokee Lodge Malakye     Dam: Pepper's Hidden Vale

Chase has done us very proud, 3 shows & placing high last show took off runner-up yearling of the day, at each show the judges have said she has lovely big movement & would be lovely under saddle, she is a pleasure to do anything with, wash, trim, float, show, not fazed by the show scene at all, loves going to new places, meeting new people. When I brought Chase she had very limited handling due to owner having 2 young children & no spare time, so she has just been out in a large paddock in Wandowie. At her first ever show she was very well behaved. She should mature to  14.2hh.  Chase is coming along nicely, she is getting mouthed, girthing her, long reining, she is taking it all so well & I think she enjoys it, small amounts of lunging, she has been to the beach & loved it, she is great to trim up, feet, loves getting a bath, she is rugged, has now been clipped & just stood there for the whole thing, she is picking things up very easy. She is a lovely steel grey pinto (will grey out) has a pretty face, lovely head & movement to die for.

**Chase has now been sold, the biggest regret I have ever done selling this girl, happen all so fast, but in our hearts it was the right decision, she will be muched loved by her new little owner, all the very best with our girl** She was a dream to have, a very muched loved girl by us all, we will miss her dearly. Britney was going to take her on in a year or so, but we feel Britney will not be ready for a green horse, as she is still a learner....
